Predoctoral Internship Program in Professional Psychology
Application Requirements
Enrolled in and in good standing at an accredited doctoral level graduate program in clinical or counseling psychology.
Completion of all pre-doctoral training requirements prior to beginning
Internship including advancement to candidacy and successful defense of dissertation proposal.
APPIC Application (APPI) Part One and Part Two submitted to the Training Director by e-mail at holmes.carolyn@mail.dc.state.fl.us. If problems occur with online submission, materials may alternatively be mailed to: Dr. Carolyn Holmes MHU Lake CI, 19225 U.S. Highway 27 Clermont, Florida, 34715.
Three Letters of Recommendation from professionals you have worked with -
mailed to the Training Director at the address listed in #3, above.
Official Graduate transcripts sent to the Training Director. (Copies may be sent initially, but official transcripts must be sent before applicants will be ranked in the Match.)
If selected for interview, a State of Florida Employment Application must be completed and submitted to the Training Director before the interview can be scheduled. The application can be found here. The application is in PDF format. Most applicants find it easiest to print, complete and then fax the application to the Training Director at (352) 241-0296.
The Application Deadline for this year is December 1, 2008. All of the application materials listed above must be received by this date. National Matching Services, Inc. and APPIC policies and deadlines are also applicable.
Proof of professional liability insurance for the entire internship year (July 1, 2009-June 30, 2010) is required for employment and must be provided prior to the start of internship.
We are a law enforcement agency. As such, employment is contingent upon a security clearance and full disclosure in your application of any criminal charges, arrests or convictions. Individuals with Felony arrests may not be eligible.
